Our fruit trees and the crazy apple-picking boy
Adrian picking plums and some apples without bugs
Peaches and plums
One of the reasons we bought our house was the big yard with lots of gardens. I am beginning to question if I would use these criteria again due to the insane amount of work that seems to never get done. But we love the fruit trees. We have 3 peach trees, 3 apples trees, 1 plum tree, 1 pear tree, and 1 Asian pear tree. So I have been spending time picking and figuring out how to care for fruit trees. I LOVE peaches, but unfortunately the peach trees gave almost nothing due to my late winter pruning, which now I know was too late and must have stressed the poor trees out. But last year we had a bumper crop of peaches. And of course we have apple-loving bugs that we didn't have last year, which have reduced the amount of apples. But now I know what to do about that. So next year. . . but we are loving the rest of the fruit!!

Wow, look at all that beautiful fruit!!! Yum! Well, if the economy totally tanks with or without an enormous govt bailout, at least you will have lots of fruit. You should start a fruit juice business...oh wait, you already have one of those. : )
Seriously though, I want some fruit trees here. You'll have to divulge what you've learned because I have no idea how to care for fruit trees. I bet your boys love those trees and all the fruit. They look so cute there.
I absolutely must come visit you. I had no idea you had many gardens and all those fruit trees. How wonderful!
Nick has been planting trees in our neighborhood (he's on the board) and is seriously considering taking some classes about caring for trees and becoming the neighborhood arborist. You two should talk!
Your backyard looks amazing!!! I bet the kids have a good time with everything! --Tatum
Good luck, with all the picking. You could make jellies and jams with all that fruit. I love fresh peaches yum yum. Enjoy the tasty treats.
