Giant Strawberries

Check out the size of this strawberry! I want to know what the people at California Giant Berry Farms are feeding their crop. I bought a pretty tasty pack of strawberries at Costco that included this mutant. Not only was the pack itself huge, but the strawberries were abnormally, almost scarily large. How large could they possibly get? But they were very red and sweet.

Even though I have Costcophobia (and fear of any large retailer -- if you want to see me go into full-blown panic, take me there on Saturday), I go for the great deals on produce as well as baby wipes, meatballs, chocolate-covered raisins. Oh, and don't forget the books I think I might read someday and the patio furniture. Ahhh! On one hand I hate stores where you can buy a life-time supply of anything and a TV to boot. Oh the excess. On the other hand, oh the good deals. I am so conflicted.

Don't get me started on Costco. You know my house is always ready for WWIII.

We have some of those strawberries, suprisingly taste in season. The watermelon is really good too but you have to buy two at a time.
